Lighter. Healthier. Together.

Filmed at ELS Hall Park, North Ryde, Sydney, NSW, Australia.

Air Volleyball is a newer team sport adapted from traditional volleyball, originating in China in the 1980s. With a lighter ball and a more welcoming style of play, it is fun, easy to learn, and adaptable to different ages and abilities. No volleyball experience is needed: people can exercise, make friends, and come together regularly. It is like karaoke or public-square dancing on the sports court—a social activity anyone can join.

Air Volleyball is the official English name for 气排球. It was previously known in English as Light Volleyball.

More than a game

People do not only need exercise. We also need friendship, belonging, enjoyment, and a reason to come together regularly.

Air Volleyball brings these needs into one simple weekly rhythm: people meet, form teams, play friendly games, and build lasting friendships through meals, travel, and helping one another.

One game can create a club.
Many clubs can create a connected community.
